8/9/2023 is a day that I will consider the day AgileRN was born. Sure, all the legal paperwork (i.e. incorporation papers, federal and state documents, LLC formation, etc. etc.) were done prior to this day, but today is when we passed the interview by the State’s department of health and got approved for our license to operate in the State of Illinois. This is the dawn of a new day for me and my wife. My wife, Jasmine, is a Registered Nurse for more than 25 years. Just as long as we have been married. She’s very passionate about Nursing, Data Science and her daughters. With her, we founded this company with a vision to improve the lives of many people by bringing the innovation of infusion services to patients at home. Getting well and recovering at home sounds like an ordinary activity since the beginning of time so what’s the innovation? Well, that’s the innovation. Bringing medicines to patients at their homes and administering it to them requires an expert who can do it well. Otherwise, the medicine (which are very expensive) can end up getting wasted if not done right. It can even hurt the patient or even cause deaths if a grave mistake is made. What’s the big deal? It takes a lot of coordination between the nurse, the agency, the doctor and the pharmacist to make sure that the patient receives the infusion on time and according to the plan. Imagine having to do all these activities for hundreds of patients. Follow us in this journey one patient at a time. I’m excited!
